Quercus International has advised CIRQLR, a new waste management platform, on its acquisition of The Recycling Partnership and its sister company, Cox Skips. Established in 2000 and based in West Sussex, The Recycling Partnership is one of the largest independent waste collection businesses in the South East, operating depots in East and West Sussex and offering commercial waste and recycling collections across Sussex and Surrey. The group operates a fleet of over 50 vehicles and a commercial waste site licensed to handle 260,000 tonnes of waste and recyclable material per year. Cox Skips complements this with a fully licensed waste recycling centre, processing various materials including glass, cardboard, hardcore, soil, metals, and hazardous waste.

Headquartered in London, Domaine Direct was originally set up in 1981 by the late Hilary Gibbs, an acknowledged industry pioneer, who built her reputation on sourcing the best wines from across Burgundy and selling to top restaurants, shops and collectors.

Established in 2006, Flint Wines supplies some of the UK’s top restaurants and wine merchants. It specialises in Burgundy, North America and Italy and works directly with over 150 producers from around the world. Flint Wines sells also sells to the public through its Stannary Wines brand. Flint’s management are pursuing an ambitious growth strategy, seeking to further develop their wine range and market penetration both organically and through further acquisition.

Reconomy (UK) Limited (“Reconomy”) is the UK’s largest outsourced waste management and recycling business. It is backed by private equity investor, EMK Capital.

Advanced Waste Solutions Limited (“AWS”) is a provider of outsourced waste and recycling services, based in Ringwood, Dorset.

AWS’s customer base is highly complementary to that of Reconomy, providing a great opportunity for customers, suppliers and staff of the combined businesses.

The transaction involved Curchill China acquiring certain intangible and tangible assets from Dudson Holdings Limited including the Dudson brand and intellectual property in respect of two of Dudson's product ranges, 'Harvest' and 'Evo.

Devon Contract Waste Limited (“DCW”) is one of the leading independent waste management business in the South West.

Alpha Utilities Limited (trading as Alpha Logic) is a provider of waste and recycling services across Devon and Cornwall.

There are significant synergies available through combining the two businesses andAlpha’s customer base is highly complementary to that of DCW, providing a great opportunity for the combined businesses in the market place.  The enlarged business will also offer greater opportunities for the management and staff in both businesses.

Headquartered in Brighton, Boundless is an established home, motoring and leisure association, offering attractive discounts and offers on insurance, travel, leisure activities and holidays to its c.230,000 members.

Parliament Hill also works exclusively in the membership sector.  It uses the collective buying power of its clients (and their 3 million members) to negotiate outstanding terms on products and services relevant to members as individuals, within their families, in their businesses and for their careers.   The business was founded by Andrew Holden who will continue to lead the business going forward.

The acquisition supports the vision of Boundless to leverage its expertise and expand into complementary activities.  Financial details have not been disclosed.
