Parliament Hill also works exclusively in the membership sector.  It uses the collective buying power of its clients (and their 3 million members) to negotiate outstanding terms on products and services relevant to members as individuals, within their families, in their businesses and for their careers.   The business was founded by Andrew Holden who will continue to lead the business going forward.

The acquisition supports the vision of Boundless to leverage its expertise and expand into complementary activities.  Financial details have not been disclosed.

Founded some 20 years ago, NPLST is a dedicated schools travel provider offering a specialised range of domestic and international tours and excursions to schools and clubs across the UK.  It focuses on educational and sports-based tours, together with battlefield tours and residential theatre trips, through its well-established Study Experiences, Sports Experiences brands and as official partner of the Royal British Legion for school travel.

Blackpool-based school travel specialist Next Generation Travel Limited (NGT), operates a range of brands including WST, FHT Travel and Anglia Tours.  The combined business is currently responsible for over 70,000 student trips each year.

 

 

Founded in 1995, Weir Waste Services Limited (“WWS”) is one of the largest independently-owned commercial recycling and waste management businesses in the West Midlands. WWS provides total waste management solutions for the assessment, collection, recycling and disposal of commercial waste. WWS has focused on investing in the latest automated sorting technology to deliver increasing recycling, recovery and purity rates, delivered through continued investment over the years including the construction of a state-of-the-art materials recycling facility at Oldbury, near Birmingham.

Biffa plc is a leading, UK-listed, integrated waste management company.

 

The Westcott Park AD facility, located near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, is one of the most modern in the UK, and is capable of processing up to 48,000 tonnes of food waste per annum and turning that into electricity which is then sold into the National Grid, with the solid residual material used as a bio fertilizer in agriculture. The facility receives both pre-and post-consumer food waste from local authorities and commercial customers.

The facility was considered to be a non-core part of Renewi UK Service Ltd’s business, which is primarily focused on large municipal waste processing and recycling contracts.

Quercus undertook a focussed sale process, identifying Olleco, one of the UK’s largest collectors and processors of food waste and waste cooking oils.

 

ICON is a multi-channel brand management and distribution company covering the UK and Ireland.  It specializes in premium hair and beauty products and offers a bespoke service, in consultation with its brand partners, to deliver long term distribution strategies through professional salons and high street retail.

Sweet Squared supplies beauty products to more than 24,000 professionals in the UK and Ireland from its offices in Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dublin.

The buy-out was led by existing directors and provides an exit for the three founder shareholders.  Pascal Wittet led the investment for Connection Capital and joins the Board alongside incoming chairman, John Cleland.
